Work begins on the Trembley development

2018-04-01

Following the grant of a building permit on 13 September 2017, the Terra et Casa Foundation’s Trembley project has entered a crucial new phase; the preparatory works for the 93-apartment building on the corner of the Avenue Trembley and the Chemin des Crêts have now begun. According to the current schedule, the new residents will be able to move in by 2020.

In 2008, the Terra et Casa Foundation acquired two plots of land totalling 5,417 m2 and, in the following year, organised an architectural competition to select the project best suited to the development envisaged for this site. However, it was only at the end of 2012 that the site was reclassified as a class-3 development area, and only in October 2017 that a building permit was granted.

Today, the project to erect a 93-apartment building on the corner of Avenue Trembley and the Chemin des Crêts is finally becoming a reality. The Steiner construction company has begun work on the structural components of the building, under the direction of the 3BM3 architectural firm, winners of the competition organised by the Terra et Casa Foundation in 2009.
